As soon as I got my review copy of the Sony a7RII from Horn Photo, I needed to warm up to its new features that weren’t familiar with me, so I stopped by my local coffee shop called Kuppa Joy. I’ve gotten to know the owner and staff of the coffee shop really well (yeah, we go there A LOT), and they were kind enough to be my test subjects. I got to try out my normal kit that included the Sony FE 28mm f/2 lens and my Sony-Zeiss FE 55mm f/1.8 lens. I also practiced using my adapted Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L lens. It’s one of my favorite lenses from my previous system, so I was quite familiar with it. But shooting it in manual focus (because that’s how I intended to use it with the Commlite adapter I just picked up) was new to me. Here are some of the scenes from Kuppa Joy — a little bit of coffee and lot of friendly faces.
